Here's a little bit about me
My passion for being a clown has led me in places I would never have dreamed of going. As a volunteer, I work closely with Children's Hospital Big Top Clown Alley, where I am one of several "clown mentors" for those who come into the clown program. Other places that Lil' Darlin can be seen clowning around is UAB and Veterans Hospitals, New Beacon Hospice, Alabama Living Center, Beverly Ingram Manor, Vestavia Hills Library, We Love Homewood Day, Adopt a Pet, Parisians Back to School Days, Kid's First in Alabaster, Civil Rights Institute, Edgemont Elementary School, Hall Kent Elementary School, Leeds Library, Albert Scott Library, libraries in Columbiana and Helena; Children's Harbour Pig Iron Challenge, East Lake Police Precinct, Wal-Mart in Leeds, O'Charley's in Center Point, First Light Fundraiser Event, Arthritis Foundation Jingle Bell Run, Vulcan Run, Chick-Fil-A, World of Wheels, City Stages, Birmingham Library Brown Bag Luncheon...I could go on forever...but you get the idea. Some of the places I have listed I do volunteer clowning and some I do for pay.

Places I've been

As a member of local clown alleys (clubs) and national clown groups, my clown training is ongoing. These groups include The Magic City Clown School (of which I am a co-founder), The Big Top Alley at Children's Hospital, Gestures of the Heart in Trussville, AL., Metro Church of God clowns, Clowns of America International, World Clown Association and Southeast Clown Association. To learn more about these groups and to see pictures of some of my many wonderful clown friends in Birmingham, go to this site:  http://www.geocities.com/iyq2kitty/Clowns.html

Articles about Lil' Darlin can be found in several local publications, including the Birmingham Magazine, and in newspaper articles in Shelby and Jefferson County.
